Why it's short
Eight names, not eighty.
Most vendor lists are a favour economy. Ours is the people we have actually stood in a room with at 10pm when something was going wrong, and watched handle it.
A wedding is one team that has usually never worked together before. The vendors on this page make that easier for a specific reason: they talk to the rest of the room. The photographer tells us she is moving the first dance up ten minutes. The planner reruns the timeline when dinner runs late instead of hoping. That is not a small thing, and it is the whole reason this list exists.
If your date is taken by everyone here, tell us and we will point you somewhere honest.
Book one first
Wedding planners.
They are the first hire that makes every other hire easier. A planner who runs a tight timeline is the reason your photographer gets golden hour and your dinner does not run forty minutes long.
The film
Videographers.
The people who will still be showing you your wedding in ten years. Ask any of them how they handle audio for the vows, because that is where most wedding films fall down.
The photos
Photographers.
The vendor you will hear from most before the day and see most after it. All three of these communicate with the DJ during the reception instead of working around us.

Who else is confirmed
Ask every vendor who else you have booked. A team that knows the lineup a year out behaves differently on the day than one that meets in the parking lot.
How they handle a delay
Every wedding runs late somewhere. The answer you want is specific, not reassuring. Ask what they did the last time it happened.
What they need from us
Photographers need light, videographers need clean audio, planners need a timeline that holds. Anyone who has an answer ready has done this properly before.
Mention DNA when you reach out. It will not get you a discount, and we do not want you to expect one. It just means they will know who is running your night.
