Cold sparks and dancing on clouds create something that happens once and gets filmed by ninety phones. Uplighting and pinspots change how the whole room looks in every photo. Both are worth it. A CO2 cannon at a seated dinner-party wedding is not.
And if it is a choice between an enhancement and a longer package, take the hours.
