Before you book anything

Meet Nate.

A couple of minutes with the person who’d actually be running your night — the voice on the mic, in his own words.

The short version

Who you're actually booking.

Nate's first gig was his grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. His mom and his tías were hunting for a DJ, one of them said let's just have Nate do it, and that was that — fifteen years old, running a room full of family in a small West Texas town. He hasn't stopped since.

A thousand-plus weddings later he founded DNA, and he's still behind the decks most Saturdays. He's based in Grand Prairie, takes bookings across the country and a handful overseas, and spends part of his year on stage as a speaker and educator to other wedding DJs — which is a long way of saying the standard the rest of this roster is trained to is his.

He's also the most visible DJ in DFW, on purpose: 60,000+ followers on Instagram, close to 30,000 on TikTok, thousands more on YouTube. That matters to a couple for one practical reason — you can watch him actually work, at dozens of real weddings, before you ever get on a call with him.

“When you're prepared, you don't have to react — because you're already prepared for it.”

What Nate is
known for.

01

A thousand weddings deep

Very little happens in a ballroom that he hasn't already seen. Things run late, gear fails, somebody's plan changes at 8pm — and the couple never finds out.

02

The mic is why people book him

Not the DJ who talks over every song, but never absent either. Guests know who's running the night, and the evening moves without anybody feeling herded.

03

Not a diva about it

“We're a very important piece of the puzzle, but it's not only about us.” The DJ is not the main character at your wedding, and he'll tell you that before you ask.

The music

Gold is where he's strongest. Every DNA wedding is still built from your list, not a house playlist — do-not-play lists included.

The tools

Five that never
fail him.

The ones that have never once let him down — and the ones he'd quietly retire.

  1. Anything by Selena
  2. Grupo Massore
  3. El Baile del Gorila
  4. Cumbias — any of them

Tired of: the same traditional wedding songs you hear at every single wedding. He'll play every one of them if you want them — they're just not his favourite.

Straight talk

Is Nate the right fit
for your night?

The night he wants

A multicultural room with a wide variety of music and the creative freedom to run the floor. Give him that and you'll get his best work — watching a room full of people who don't share a language sing and dance to the same song is the whole reason he still does this.

Two things he'll ask for

The booth near the dance floor, not tucked in a corner or on a second level — he can't read a room he can't reach. And no outdoor receptions in the Texas summer heat. Beyond that, it's a partnership: the couples he does his best work for are the ones he actually gets along with.

Don't take our
word for it.

First come, first served

Is Nate free
on your date?

Each DJ takes one wedding a day. Book a 30-minute call and we'll check Nate's availability live — and if he's taken, we'll tell you honestly who else on the roster fits your night.
