Jorge “DJ Star” Rojas is the definition of building a name from the ground up in Dallas. Born and raised in Oak Cliff, his journey started back in high school when he was asked to DJ his school’s winter ball. One packed dance floor turned into a wave of school dances across Dallas ISD — Molina, Adamson, Garza, Sunset, Townview and more — and his name started moving fast through the city.

While most teens were just trying to get into the club, Star was already behind the decks in clubs, bars, and arenas before he was even 18, sharpening his sound in front of live crowds and learning how to command energy in any room. From there, he shifted into quinceañeras, weddings, school events, and large-scale private parties, becoming a go-to DJ for families and clients who wanted big memories, high energy, and unforgettable moments.

That hustle opened doors beyond the booth — from opening his own convenience store to hosting concert-style events with crowds of 2,000+. Today, DJ Star is one of the most requested DJs in Dallas, trusted to perform at high-end weddings, community events, and back-to-back weekend celebrations all across the city.

Musically, Star is known for his regional Mexican and huapango takuache roots, blended with club bangers and crowd-favorites that keep the floor packed all night. Locals know him as “la estrella de Dallas,” a DJ who brings Oak Cliff pride, nonstop energy, and a “never tired, always down to work” attitude to every event.
