In her own words
The short version.
Amaris got her first DJ board for Christmas when she was 16. She'd been watching a family friend DJ, the one who ended up becoming her mentor, and started out playing family backyard parties.
She's always had an old soul and a wide range of music taste, so in high school it was just a hobby. Word of mouth and recommendations slowly turned it into a weekend hustle. Her first real gig was a first birthday and bautismo for a family member who had seen her play. From there, the rest was history.
Today she's doing weddings, quinces and all kinds of events, and you can hear her on the radio every Tuesday at 3 PM on the Latin Party Show on 89.3.

A night that went perfectly
When the
huapangos hit.
A Mexican wedding earlier this year. Everything flowed from one part of the night to the next, the transitions were seamless, and the dance floor stayed full with both families having a great time together.
Then she got into the huapangos and the Mexican music. The families got involved, everyone was dancing together, and you could feel the energy in the whole room.

The mariachi
didn't show.
The mariachi wasn't there when they were supposed to be, and the timeline started getting pushed back. Instead of letting the room feel like something was wrong, Amaris kept the music going and kept everyone entertained while it got figured out.
She stayed calm and adjusted the music to hold the energy until everything was ready. Things happen at weddings that are completely out of anyone's control. Her job is to keep the night moving so the couple enjoys it instead of worrying about what's going on behind the scenes.
